St Christopher's Hospice at Lawrie Park Road, Sydenham recently put out a call for photographs to decorate their wards. The selection was made by patients and staff at the hospice. I was delighted to have this photo selected. They were also kind enough to exhibit the works and invite all the contributers to a buffet style reception as a thank you. It was a very pleasant evening.

In a recent informal street photography meeting, I was very proud to have this photograph selected by the other participants as the best shot of the day. It was chosen for 'capturing striking facial expressions while also reflecting the multicultural character of the neighbourhood'.

Brixton walks: Looking elsewhere.
These images were photographed in Brixton during walks around the streets within a radius of my home. I don't always know why I'm compelled to capture a scene but if the impulse is there I try to go with it. There is often pleasure or other aesthetic interest to be drawn from ordinary and commonplace visual scenes. Capturing moments of simple pleasure seems a worthwhile distraction from the seeming maelstrom of life in London and the larger world and the practice helped me through a difficult recovery from a cancer treatment, a few years ago.
These images were selected for the exhibition at the Sharp Gallery. All are for sale as A3 sized (29.7cm x 42 cm) unframed prints for £65 each inc. P&P or £90 framed in person.

Each postcard represents a unique view of Brixton's often unnoticed delights. There are 3 sets of 5 cards enclosed in a robust card envelope and available at £16 per set inc. p&p (or £12.50 in person). Each set has been carefully curated by the photographer. They are individually produced by the artist to a high standard and are printed on PermaJet's high quality 6"x 4", 300gsm gloss photo postcards, using a Canon ImagePROGRAF 300, 10 colour printer.
